Television provides us with indispensable news and information – in real time. Furthermore TV is the medium that opens up the world, conveys presence and makes us contestants in events that later end up in history books. Television carries knowledge, feelings and awareness which ultimately stimulates diversity and strengthens fundamental democratic values.
